The United Kingdom and Iraq Alliance (UKAIA) is led by prominent and highly regarded individuals from both the UK and Iraq; it is a partnership that has at its core; the continuing reconstruction and development of Iraq, through bilateral trade and promoting private in the two countries. Our remit is to foster direct relations between corporations, leading institutions and contractors from inside and outside of Iraq.

We are always looking to get involved with new projects but our ongoing concerns are exciting and varied and include but are not limited to: commercial construction- building one of the largest malls in Iraq and bringing the first luxury five star hotel to the country; expansion of the textile retail sector- bringing major brands into Iraq; and setting up distributorship for leading manufacturers in Iraq.

The organisation has strong local links and constituent members are both cultural and commercial leaders within Iraq, whose experience and roots can be traced back to the nineteen hundreds. Iraqi partners pioneered the import and distribution of consumer goods nationally in Iraq, and have a history of trade relations with Europe.

Alliance members from the UK hail from many sectors of industry and commerce including: Healthcare, Finance, Logistics, Consultancy, Manufacturing, Retail, Education and the motoring trade. Our aim is to forge strategic partnerships as a means of developing trade between the UK and Iraq and achieving business growth.
